Evy Jokhova
BUHLEBEZWE SIWANI

Our recent acquisitions include works by Evy Jokhova and Buhlebezwe Siwani. Evy Jokhova (Switzerland, 1984) is an artist who engages with social anthropology, and architecture. Buhlebezwe Siwani is an artist known for her performance art and installations, born 1987 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Both artists explore the themes of identity and culture. Further recent acquisitions include the work of Argentinian artist Claire de Santa Coloma. Her practice is primarily sculpture based, though also includes drawings and compositions on paper. The focus of her work is always the very idea of sculpture itself, its possibilities of material realisation and how we relate to it. Finally, we are pleased to present the work of artist Tatjana Danneberg (born 1991, Vienna), whose pieces balance on the verge of photography and painting.

"Maybe you don’t feel connected to — or you don’t enjoy speaking to — gallery staff, or you still feel like there’s a barrier there for you, then maybe you look online. Don’t get too caught up in the definitive purchase and invoice moment, but really enjoy the process of discovering what it is you can afford, or you’d like to live with. It takes a bit of time."
